FOR TODAY (November 24, 2008)...
Outside my window... I am standing hear watching the wind blow the leaves around my backyard onto the deck, it is going to be a really cold day here in North Carolina today.
I am thinking... about the goodness of Jesus and all he his done for me and my family and friends and everyone that I love....
I am thankful for... my family, God's grace and mercy. I am thankful to have a warm house to live in and food to eat, and I am just so thankful for everything the Lord has done for my house hold.
From the learning rooms...(if this applies) In our homeschool room we are working on the holiday Thanksgiving, and what it means to be thankful for all that the Lord has done.
From the kitchen... Blueberry muffins just went in the oven, and for today's dinner since it is going to be a cold one today I am making homemade chili with rice and Cheddar cheese on top with some freshly made corn bread, and a bread pudding for dessert.
I am wearing... a cream colored blouse , with a blue jean skirt and my bedroom slippers, I just put an apron on that says Jesus is the head of this kitchen, I picked this apron up from our local Christian bible book store about a month ago.
I am creating... I am creating next weeks home school lesson and also I am creating my Thanksgiving menu for Thursday.
I am going... to the store today to do some shopping for the Christmas holidays and my hubby's birthday which is next Thursday.
I am reading... Creating to be his Help meet by Debi Pearl, I have read this book about three times but I just love reading it, and I am also reading the first half of Psalms in my bible.
I am hoping... that everyone that reads my day book has a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving
I am hearing... My Christmas music from my blog playing while I type this.
Around the house... just to do the usually schedule of cleaning, plus cleaning out my stove, and getting everything ready for Thanksgiving at my house this year.
One of my favorite things... the sounds of Christmas and the closest that the Holidays bring, I love to read the word of God and have he speak to me in the wee hours of the morning.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Getting ready for Thanksgiving, everyone will be at our house this week, and then my hubby and I will be going out Black Friday to fight the crowds so we get some early bird deals for Christmas.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
This is a picture of my Christmas table in my den for Christmas I decorated it last night. I will have my Thanksgiving table ready for Thanksgiving by tonight.
