Happy early Thanksgiving everyone. May we all be thankful each and every day for the blessings that our God has and will give to us each and everyday. Let’s be thankful for his grace and mercy even on our days that we are not feeling thankful. May we lean not to our own understanding but put it all in the hands of the Father..ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½❤️❤️❤️
Isaiah 12
You will say in that day: “I will give thanks to you, O LORD, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me. “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. “Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”
Hello everyone….So sorry for my delay on posting. Boy on boy it has been such a busy season of life. Well I just wanted to let all of you know about a blog that I have been following for a few years now. The name of the blog is Thrive On One Income Janine is the author of this blog and she teaches homemaking skills and how to love our husbands, children,, the Lord and just enjoying being homemakers for the glory of God. Janine is truly a woman that loves the Lord, her family and teaching others how to love being that Titus 2, Proverbs 31 woman that our Bible teaches us about. Janine now has a YouTube channel where she is reading some wonderful short stories including one of my favorites “When Queens Ride By” by Agnes Sligh Turbull in 1926She made the story come alive. I was washing dinner dishes and cleaning the kitchen while listen to her read. Please stop by her YouTube channel Beautiful Homemaking. And listen to her read while you clean or maybe sit and relax with a cup of tea while you get swept away into her story telling. Let her know I sent you over and don’t forget to tell everyone you know to stop by and visit her blog and YouTube channel. I promise you it will bless your soul. Also don’t forget to subscribe to her channel so that she can get to 1000 subscribers so that her channel can be recommended to others on YouTube so that she can be a light in this world sharing the goodness of God and all things dealing with biblical homemaking. Love you all and will be back soon…until then I will continue to pray for you all and please continue to do the same for me. Please continue to pray for our country and for all of those in Florida that were effected by Hurricane Ian….May God bless you all until next time remember that I love you but God loves you so very much more….
Hello to all of my readers that are still reading here. Wow oh my goodness word, it has really been 5 whole years since I last put up a blog post . Shame on me π. Life has been so busy and there is so much to tell you all from graduating 4 of my children except one (little miss Kenzie, she is not so little any more π) from our homeschool. One is married and yes I have three adorable grand babies and one that got engaged this past Christmas. But dare we speak on this illness they call Covid. But all that will be bought up in an up coming post. Can’t promise how many I will get done a month but I will be posting Lord’s willing because life is still busy and I want to enjoy these last few years homeschooling my baby. I will leave you with an old post that still speaks to my heart every time I read it. I’ll be back soon. Remember I love you all but God loves you more and he is our way maker, our healer, our protector our all and all. Oh and my wonderful hubby says helloπ
Happy Sunday everyone, I was just sitting here pondering on different things while the children were having there hour quiet time to do their own things such as reading, coloring etc, after our Sunday morning service. The Lord has laid it upon my heart that so many people are out here not trusting him fully, and believing in his word. Yes times are getting rough and yes we are trying to keep our head above water, but through the mist of it all God is saying "I am here and I am able, just lean on me and lean not unto your on understanding". We as human beings have a hard time trusting in the Lord when we seem to be going through something, we only want to believe that the Lord has all power when things seems to be going well in our lives and with our families,. But God is with us through the bad and good, he says in his word that he will never forsake us. Why do we have a hard time believing that he will do these things for us. For example, if a wife is a stay at home mother and she is doing what she needs to in the home, taking care of the children, cleaning, cooking, etc, and the husband is working and his income is the only income in the house but the bills are due why do we as women worry, or if you are a christian woman and you and your husband both work or you are a single mother God still hears us when we pray in his name. He is with us no matter if you are a working mother, a single mother, a married mother, or even if you don't have children at all, he is still in the mist of the storms. It may seem like it is raining and thundering, and lighting but he cares for you and he knows what you are going through, so just cast all your cares upon the Lord. Praise his name even when you don't feel like praising him, rejoice in his glory, worship him at all times giving him the honor and the glory. Everyone the Lord is worthy and he does hear his people so when the storms raise up in your lives fall down on your knees and cry out Lord help me please, sometimes our roads may seem to tough but what you have to do is keep holding on for dear live, because our reward is the kingdom of Heaven and all things there of. Be Blessed
Good Morning dear friends. Just wanted to say hello this blessed Sunday morning. We received a call this morning saying that church was canceled this morning due to the threat of a wintry mix here in North Carolina. So far we are seeing a little sleet but lots of rain. My hubby and I read some scriptures with the children and sung some songs of worship to our heavenly father thanking him for this day that he has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. After I get done writing this post I will be getting a few goodies together for my husband and sons for the Super Bowl tonight. We had plans to go to my in laws with the rest of the family but since the storm is here everyone decided that we should all stay home and my husband and his father, our sons, his brothers, and nephews could talk about the game via phone calls lol. My husband is a die hard Washington Redskins fan but he said that he would be rooting for the Carolina Panthers tonight because this is our home state team. So go Panthers......even though I don't care for football and do not watch it, I am glad that my husband and sons can enjoy watching sports together and will always have those memories the same has my husband and his brothers and dad did. So I will be making sure that my family has all the snacks they need (I'm making quesadillas, chips and salsa, and honey Bar Que wings) and plenty of sweet Carolina Tea lol....
Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday everyone.... PS my daughters and I may find a movie to watch in another part of the house since we don't care for football...
I was visiting a friend's blog on yesterday and her post really spoke to my heart. She had a song that I had never heard of before until then. This song really expresses how I feel about my love for our Almighty God. I thank God for continually showing me how to be
content in all things and for taking care of our needs and not just
our wants.
Please if you find time stop by and visit her and say hello. She has a wonderful passion for teaching and encouraging women to be the wives, mothers, friends, homemakers, etc that God called us to be. The link to her website is Teach The Younger Women. Below I have a attached the Youtube version of the song "Thank You Lord For Your Blessings On Me" Music video by Bill & Gloria Gaither performing Thank You Lord for
Your Blessings (feat. Jeff & Sheri Easter, Charlotte Ritchie and
Vestal Goodman)
Here are the lyrics for this beauiful song:
Thank You Lord For Your Blessings On Me
[Verse 1]
While the world looks upon me
As I struggle along
They say I've got nothing
But they are so wrong
In my heart I'm rejoicing
How I wish they could see
Thank you Lord
For your blessing on me!
[Chorus]
There's a roof up above me
I've a good place to sleep
There's food on my table
And shoes on my feet
You gave me your love Lord
And a fine family
Thank you Lord
For your blessings on me!
[Verse 2]
I know I'm not wealthy
These clothes, they're not new
I don't have much money
But Lord I have you
And that's all that matters
Though the world may not see
Thank you Lord
For your blessings on me!
[Chorus]
There's a roof up above me
I've a good place to sleep
There's food on my table
And shoes on my feet
You gave me your love Lord
And a fine family
Thank you Lord
For all your blessings on me!

Hello everyone...
.
For all of you that have known me for a while my family
and I live in North Carolina. We are gearing up for a big and unusual
snow and ice storm by the name of Jonas. Most years we just get traces of snow here on the
eastern side of the Carolinas but we are right in its path this time.
Governor Pat McCrory is already calling for a state of emergency for NC.
We are not only getting snow we are getting lots of ice with this
storm. Due to my husband's line of work he will still have to go to work
in this so please say a prayer for his safety. The kids and I have
finished homeschooling for today and have went to the grocery store to
stalk up on a few things. I have been making sure all the laundry is
done. My husband and I do not normally heat with kerosene heaters (we have
central heating and air) but we did go and purchase a kerosene heater
along with the container to store the kerosene in and a pump so that if
the power goes out here we will still have heat for warmth, light and
to my understanding cook on the one that we purchased. We can warm up
things like beans and spaghetti O's etc. We purchased bottle water and
candles. The heater is something that we thought was a good investment
because we have a feeling this year we will see more ice and snow this
year due to El Nino. The storm will be coming in tonight and is suppose
to end on Saturday evening. So please say a prayer for all of the states
involved. I will keep you all posted as soon as I can.
I pray that everyone had a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving. Always remember do not just be thankful on this day November 26 but give thanks to the Almighty God each and every Single day because God is worthy of our praises.
Hello dear blogging friends I am so excited that my friend Courtney is having her 6 Annual Fall Challenge again over at her blog Women Living Well and I definitely will be participating.......Each week Courtney will give you one practical tip and one spiritual tip that you can do to create a haven in your home. This challenge will begin next Wednesday October 7th and run through the month of October.
Here is what Courtney has to say about her Fall Challenge: Welcome to the 6th Annual “Making Your Home a Haven” Fall Challenge!
If you’ve been around a while – you know all about this series and might already have your candle going right now! I can’t believe we have been doing this for 6 years – it’s been such a life changer!
I have been lighting my candle all winter, spring and summer long. It’s my daily habit to light my kitchen candle and then say a prayer for peace in our home.
Oh friends, we don’t want to just read God’s word – we want to live out God’s word in our homes first and then outside the home where God has planted us.
This challenge is all about living out the word of God within the four walls of our home.
Each week I will give you one practical tip and one spiritual tip that you can do to create a haven in your home.
Is your calendar full? Do you feel tense, rushed and even panicked at times? Do you feel like the rest of the family is feeling the same way?
I believe we can create a physical environment, as well as a spiritual environment, that can bring peace, harmony and a sense of calmness to our homes if we are willing to be intentional.
This challenge will run through the month of October on Wednesdays and this video I use yearly, explains the heart and plan behind it. If you’ve never watched it – please do and if you have but need a refresher course – check it out again! I hope it blesses you!
“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.” ~ Proverbs 14:1
Here’s the topic schedule:
Week 1: October 7th -Go buy an extra large candle and light a candle everyday in your home.
I will be starting mine in the morning but you can start yours at dinner time or whenever is convenient for you. I will be placing mine in the kitchen – the main hub of my home. Each time the candle catches your eye, say a prayer for peace in your home.
Live out the fruit of the Spirit of peace and patience this week.
Week 2: October 14th – Play soft music everyday in your home.
Choose worship, classical, jazz or another form of peaceful music that the family enjoys. Focus on using peaceful words and maintaining peaceful relationships.
Live out the fruit of the Spirit of gentleness and self-control this week.
Week 3: October 21st – Keep the candle burning, the music playing and plan a Family Fun Night.
Have a pillow party in the family room and get out every blanket and pillow in the house and be cozy with the kids or your hubby! Even if you live alone you can do this. Enjoy a cozy evening of hot cider and caramel corn. Bust out some old fashioned games and take the time to savor these moments with your loved ones.
Live out the fruit of the Spirit of kindness and joy this week.
Week 4: October 28th – Focus on the kitchen, the heart of the home.
Cook things with pleasant aromas like homemade bread, pies, and cookies. Don’t wait to have a reason to make something special – do it simply to show love to your family. Invite your kids and/or hubby to cook along side of you – make memories in the kitchen – test tasting, being creative, laughing and loving. Remember the importance of dinner time around the table as a family.
Live out the fruit of the Spirit this week by showing
love, goodness and faithfulness to your family.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” ~ Galatians 5:22,23
You may notice that our spiritual emphasis this year is again on the fruit of the Spirit. There is no magic in the lighting of a candle, soft music, game nights or comfy food – it is the power of the Holy Spirit working through us that will transform our homes into a haven for everyone who passes through our doors, so the light of Jesus can shine brightly.
Hello everyone, I'm still around. Life has been busy for the Barnes family so many different changes. My eldest son will be graduating from our homeschool co-op group in 2016 which will host our county's homeschool graduation. My sweet Kenzie is starting preschool with me this year. My eldest daughter is a junior and the twins are in the eight grade. We are still homeschool and we will start back on the 24th of this month. We had our annual family vacation. This year we went to Tennessee. We had church obligations, family reunions just good old family fun. So hopefully as the weather cools downs we will slow down. I still pray for everyone each and everyday and please do the same for my family. Hopefully I will be back soon to fill you in on some updates including working a temporary job for a season. So over that now, my full time job is homemaking and I love it. So I am back home and loving it. I will do a later post about it soon. Love you all.
a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth.
synonyms:
female parent,
verb
2. bring up (a child) with care and affection.
"the art of mothering"
I would like to say Happy Mother's Day to each and everyone. To me you do not have to physically give birth to be a mother. Just like the above definition of mother states you have given birth to a child and have or had raised and love your child or if you have took care of others children and loved them as your own then you are a mother. Remember to celebrate motherhood and womanhood each and everyday...God bless you all.
Hello everyone. I just wanted to take that time today to reflect on the goodness of Christ. In the above picture we see Jesus holding a little child and to me this picture represent Jesus holding us in his lap and rocking and comforting us like a small child. If everyone would take time to stop during their busy schedules and days and listen you can hear him whispering in your ears, tell you that he loves you and that you belong to him. Have you ever just stood outside in the rain and let the rain beat down on your face while looking towards heaven, or have you maybe just stood in the sun and let the beams shine on your face? Well Christ is touching you in a special and magical way, letting you know that he is real and that he cares for you and he wants to provide for you if you let him.
There is no greater joy then to have Christ on the inside of you, leading you, guiding you, and just watching over you and your family. God makes no mistakes, everything he does is done for a reason and we may not see it at that time but he holds our future in the palm of his hand. So take time out everyday to be reminded that we have nothing to fear because our father is awesome and wonderful, and sometimes when you see your sister or brother (in God's eye sight we are all family) in trouble if you can lend a helping hand, make a sacrifice Why? you ask well because God made a sacrifice he sent us has only begotten son so that whosoever believed in him shall not perish. He sent Jesus here to carry our burdens and sins, now that is great all by itself, but yet in still God is still blessing you and your family. There is nothing great that we have done, but God still makes time for each and everyone of us. Give God time every single day no matter what season of life you are in.So hold on to his promise and live your life in Christ and God will handle the rest be blessed.
I would like to take the time to tell everyone Happy New Year from my family to yours. May each and everyone one of you have a blessed 2015.....sorry that I have been away so much has happened that blogging was placed on the back burner lol. But I do believe it is all well now. Cedric and I along with our children would like to say Happy New Year and may God continue to bless each and everyone of us......

Hello to all of my dear blogging friends. I just wanted to stop in and say hello. It's a rainy and stormy weekend here on the Eastern coast of the Carolinas. As I sit and drink my coffee and mediate on God's word this morning and watching the rain the verse above spoke to my soul. Sometimes when we have a storm in our lives or maybe a few storms in our lives we sometimes forget to stop and pray. There is no storm that God can not fix. No matter what you or I go through God still is in the mist. . I just wanted to encourage anyone reading my post today that God is able and he would do just what he said he would do don't ever give up the fight just watch and pray because your help is always on the way ..........until next time just know God is Love. morning on

Hello and welcome to Organized Homemaking for Christ...... So just sit yourself down and have a cup of tea and some cookies and lets talk about the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ., lets talk about the goodness of God and how he has brought us this far and how we as believers in Christ will continue to follow his words pertaining to being homemakers, helpmeets to our husbands, and mothers to our children.
I am first a daughter of the most high God and then I am the helpmeet to my wonderful husband Cedric then I am the mother to five wonderful children, I am a keeper of my home and that is were I love to cook, were I love to clean, and just enjoy everything that the Lord has placed before me and in my care.
