Show and Tell Friday

Well Kelli over at http://www.kellishouse.blogspot.com/ is having her ritual Show and Tell Friday so why not go on over and have fun........

This is a picture of my great aunt's glass serving bowl, I thought this would be a great Show and Tell today because tomorrow will be the anniversary of her death. She passed away back in 2002, she was hit and killed by a drunk driver coming home from her favorite place ( the grocery store)I miss her serving mashed potatoes and other things in this bowl. It was one of her favorites, she loved the butterflies and dragons that were on it, so I was so glad when it was passed down to me, she never had children of her own but when my mother had me she was right there ready to be my mother too, so I stayed with her allot when I was little and I helped her make dinner all the time, so now you know why this bowl is so special to me, I only bring it out of the china cabinet when company comes, because I am scared that it will get broken and with this bowl I still feel connected to my favorite aunt.

Your bowl is beautiful! How sad that you lost your aunt that way but how wonderful that you have something to remember her by.

I enjoy using pretty dishes -- especially ones passed down from loved ones. It is nice you have a favorite dish of your aunt who loved you so much.

Homemaking for Christ
