FOR TODAY (December 22, 2008)...
Outside my window... It is really cold outside the weatherman says that it will not get no high then 30 degrees today, the wind is up really high, so I guess the children and I will wrap up tight and brave the cold weather and finish our Christmas shopping.
I am thinking...
What would we have done if God would not have sent his son Jesus to die for our sins, I am so ready to celebrate the birth of Christ our Lord Jesus.
I am thankful for... Family and good friends, I am thankful for the birth of Jesus Christ and how God is a merciful and loving God. I am thankful that everyone will be home with me for the holiday season.
From the learning rooms... We are on Christmas break this week and next week, but the children and I are still reading the real Christmas story in the Bible about the birth of Christ, and we are talking about what this season really means, and how we should try to help ours not just this time of year but all year.
From the kitchen... There is homemade banana-nut bread for breakfast, along with baked oatmeal. For dinner we are having a hot pot of homemade chili and cornbread, and tomorrow and Wednesday's dinner will be leftover chili and sandwiches, (there will be alot of cooking and baking Wednesday for Christmas, so we will eat lite for the next three days.).
I am wearing... a blue jean skirt with my favorite Christmas sweater, and I also have my Christmas apron with three little snowman on it which are baking cookies and it says Happy Holidays. I am still in my comfortable bedroom slippers.
I am creating...I am finishing up today a pattern of a dolphin that I cross-stitched for my eldest daughter for Christmas because she loves dolphins.
I am going... To finish making cookies for my family gifts, this is how I and my hubby saves money this time of year by giving out homemade baked goodies to friends and family. I am also getting the house ready for Christmas his parents will be arriving on Wednesday, and my parents will be arriving on tomorrow, my sister and her family will be here this afternoon from Florida I am so excited. Yes Christmas is at my house this year Hurrah....
I am reading...My devotional of "My Daily Bread" I am also reading my bible, I am currently in Matthews and Luke. At night I am reading for the tenth time Created to be his Helpmeet. I love this book.
I am hoping...And Praying that everyone arrives to my house and back to their homes safety this holiday season and that we can come together as a family and really enjoy the real meaning of Christmas together.
I am hearing...My holiday Christmas that is playing on my blog.
Around the house... I will be cleaning and making sure everything is sparkling for our house guests, I am really looking forward to seeing my parents, sister, brother-n-law, nieces and my new nephew he was born last month and my mother and father-n-law. So I will be giving the house a deep cleaning.
One of my favorite things... This time of year and this is one of my favorite h'solidays I love celebrating Jesus's birthday and enjoying out of town guest.
A few plans for the rest of the week: I am going to be cooking, baking, shopping, laughing, thanking God for his blessings and love, and just enjoying the Christmas holidays.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
Don't it just make you feel so cozy, snuggled and warm.... this is one of my favorite pictures.. Have a Happy Holiday and Remember that Jesus is the real reason for this season....

Whew, now that I've gotten over the shock of seeing the numbers on your Christmas countdown, I can comment! LOL!
Enjoy this wonderful time with so many of your family members as we all celebrate the birth of our King, Jesus!

Hello,
Noticed in your profile that you used 'were' instead of 'where' and I thought you would like to know. Sorry, but it's the teacher in me. Merry Christmas!
Thank you DeNiece for your prayers while I was ill. I pray you and your family have a blessed holiday.
