Nice posting and thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend.
How fun! We were able to take our girls on a similar trip a couple years ago to a place here that imitates the town where Laura Ingalls lived and our girls loved it so much.
How cool! I'll bet you all had a great time, and it was educational. Have a great weekend.

Looks like fun.... I love visiting places that allow us to experience what it was to live in a past era.
Thank you for sharing.
It is so nice in today's "tech" society for us to educated our children about "real" life. They learn the value of hard work and to work with their hands, which is slowly dying otu. Thanks for reminding us that we did live long before technology...lol
Love this day trip you shared with us!! I bet it was a lot of fun.
I am wondering if you'd like to stop by and view my seashell collection for Show n Tell today. I hope you can stop by if you have some time!! Have a great weekend.
Spinning wool and dipping candles sounds like my idea of a fun day! We have the Stuhr Musuem of the Prairie Pioneer near us (Nebraska) and we love to visit. Lovely blog!
Beautiful photo's of your children, DeNiece. I love spinning, candle dipping etc. As homeschool moms it is so important that we go on field trips just like you did. I live up north so the closest place is Mystic Seaport and Sturbridge Village which has homeschoolers day a few times a year. God bless, Rose
Yum, I sure would enjoy a piece of that cake. Pound Cake is by far my favorite over iced cakes.
This looks like a great place to spend time. We have a similar one here called, Constitution Hall Village.
Have you started having cooler days, yet? I am so looking forward to some Fall weather and taking in some of the festivals around this area.

DeNiece what a great place to take the family. We live near Daniel Boone's homestead and visited their often when our sons were small.
Please stop by The Old Parsonage anytime, I love company.
Enjoy!
