DeNiece~ Another lovely video, I just love that you are so down to earth and real! The new comforter for your bed is gorgeous. Your new Bible cover looks real pretty too. That new message board....could you please hang it up at my house :) Just kidding... Your children are very well behaved, if I did a video tour of my home I am sure my dog and cat would make more noise than your children...Thanks for the tour..
Blessings, Joann
I LOVE your house! I feel like I just stopped in for a nice visit. I like gold too! ;)
Neat tour! Blue is my favorite color, too :o) Such a tidy and beautiful home ~ what a blessing your children are most of all!
My Mom and I had the worst time with ants at the same time. She used ant spray (Raid brand, I think) and ant traps from Walmart at her home. I used a mixture of diatomaceous (spelling??) earth, Borax and sugar and put them around in old milk caps. Her sprays worked short term. Mine worked just "okay" but I still got ants. Then I found Terro brand ant killer. It's a small bottle of clear gel. I put about a quarter sized blob of it on pieces of cardboard here and there where I saw them. My kids were old enough at the time to leave them alone as they are poisonous. I covered them with an upside down paper plate with little holes around the edges cut out. I taped the paper plate down over the card so the kitties wouldn't jump up and try to eat them. Like a football stadium dome for ants!
Within a few days they were ALL gone! They used to crawl all over my kitchen island and it was so gross. Also, don't disinfect too much around where you put the Terro gel because the ants that alert the other ants to the "yummy gel" will follow their scent trail to the goo and will take it back to their nest where they will all die. The great part about this product is that you don't have to spray anything in the air and it's not dusty at all so it doesn't blow around. I found mine at my local large hardware store. It's in orange packaging. Follow the directions and you'll be ant free within a week!!!!
Hugs and thanks for a great website! Sorry this post is so long.

You have such a cute home. I have to agree with Joann about your children and taping your video. My kids would have been saying the whole time "Are you taping me?" Smile
I think you should put your new eraser board right before your back door or near it so that you can use it for daily tasks, chores or whatever and the kids pass it a lot. Kelly
I really enjoy your blog, as I stated on my post about you on my blog (hope you read it). You are such an inspiration! I love how you keep your home and it inspires me to do the same. Keep me in your prayers that I follow through!
Be Blessed!

HI DeNiece~I really love the new message board your husband gave you. I have mine in my kitchen because that is where I spend most of my time homeschooling. I agree that our home should always be a place of refuge for our children with praying parents and a place that they always feel welcome in even when they are all grown up. That was such a great statement that you made. Our children will always need somewhere loving to relax and regroup. I am also homeschooling my kids this summer~I am glad that you showed yours at the table doing their studies! My children were very encouraged by that. They thought they were the only ones doing schooling this summer. We only do a few subjects then go out to play. Your home is very beautiful and I have used your baby wipe idea for my bathroom. My family loved the ribs you cooked up yesterday. I have to go out and pick some up~yours looked so juicy! Thank you so much for doing these videos~they have helped and encouraged me so much to be a better keeper of my home and to serve the Lord and my family with a happy heart. God bless, Rose
About the ants- I remember having the exact same problem at my house last year. I prayed them off. Went to Psalms 91 about no pestilence harming you and prayed that when I saw them. I had done everything you had done too.
I would love to know how you homeschool as well. Have you always done homeschool? How did you manage when you had little toddlers/babies? You kids seem so well behaved and willing to help and I need some help in that area :)
DeNiece, you are just adorable! I love the video and your beautiful home! I have a message board similar to yours. I put mine in the kitchen where we homeschool. I can write our memory verses or chores or whatever on it. That way everyone sees it close to the dining table! I also love candles. I have several lit right now. It just makes everything feel homey! Your children are just precious!
Hi! I found your blog awhile back and I love it! :)
We've had an awful time with sugar ants as well. I've read that wiping down counters in the kitchen with vinegar helps. I do that to sanitize the counters and have noticed alot less ants so I think it works.
My sister had a bad time with them as well, she used powered cinnamon and the ants disappeared! Just powdered cinnamon around windows and doors really helps. Sprinkling some around a pantry or wherever you store food helps too.
I'd hang the memo board in your kitchen. I'm always either next to my computer or the fridge so I like having my memos on the fridge door.
Keep up the great work and God bless! :)

We recently moved and I've posted pictures of the new house. You can see them here on this blog page http://kolfinnaskorner.smellygoodstuffs.com/blog/?page_id=1284
Haven't had a chance to watch your recent video's but plan to when I get a few extra minutes.
DeNiece,
I noticed in an earlier post that you make sourdough bread. If you get time, can you post your recipe? I am a complete sourdough failure! LOL I have tried and tried, but mine come out like flat, hard bricks. They don't rise at all.
Thanks,
Salena
I love your blog! It is my favorite and I look at it everyday! You have been such a blessing to me. You have inspired me to be a better mom and wife! Thank you for your videos and the time you spend making them for us. Do you have a link somewhere to find your delicious recipes? I couldn't find your meatloaf recipe..I would love to get all the recipes to the food you and your husband have prepared on your blog. His hamburgers sounded so good! Thank you and God Bless! Have a blessed weekend and week!
I've been lurking for a while and just thought I'd take a minute to comment.
