Bracing For a Storm
Well hello everyone I hope and pray that everyone had a wonderful weekend. Well here on the east coast we are all preparing for a severe ice storm. I pray that all they are on the east coast be cautious and take care of them selves. My family and I are preparing and bracing for this weather. I am so thankful that we have everything that we need just in case it gets really really bad and if the power goes out. I have always been a planner so we have collected everything we needed a long time ago for such storms as this plus we are use to getting lots of hurricanes here in NC because we stick out the farthest into the Atlantic Ocean. So we have heat if the power goes out and I still have a lot of the food I canned over the summer so we are ready to go. I will try to keep everyone update.....Have a blessed start of the week.

Homemaking for Christ
Hello and welcome to Organized Homemaking for Christ...... So just sit yourself down and have a cup of tea and some cookies and lets talk about the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ., lets talk about the goodness of God and how he has brought us this far and how we as believers in Christ will continue to follow his words pertaining to being homemakers, helpmeets to our husbands, and mothers to our children.

DeNiece,
We are on our way now to the store. I don't think we are going to get as much here but I'll say a prayer of safety for everyone in the storms path!
Here in North Mississippi, we got 8 inches of snow overnight. We were prepared, though. We have gas heat and I prepared several pots of soup, etc. beforehand. These along with muffins and biscuits can easily be warmed over a fire in the grill. Luckily, we haven't had any power or water outages yet!
Hi Denise. I enjoy your beautiful blog. It is very uplifting and encourages me as a homemaker. I have a question. I loved Candy's blog - Welcome To Keeping The Home and I miss her so much. Do you know if she is around somewhere else? Thank you and have a blessed day.
DeNiece,
I am sorry I spelled your name wrong. I wasn't thinking. Have a great day!
Praying that everyone stays safe! Be Blessed!
Take care. Will be thinking of you.
Blessings Gail
I got your comment on my blog:) So I sent you the invite to my other one:)
Hope you are well...
Would love to see a post about what you do to prepare for storms. I always freak out and say, "Ummmmm.... flashlights? Toilet paper???" and then my mind goes blank. LOL.
I found your blog through Home Living and am enjoying it. I agree with you (I scrolled down and read your other posts) about starting an adoption agency to see that every child has a home. We just had a horrendous experience trying to adopt a child through foster care.
You have a beautiful blog.B
Hope you are safe and snug during the storm! We used to live in N.C. right near S.C. and the weather there was crazy. It seemed like they had every kind of scary storm!

Hi DeNiece! So nice to hear from you. What a cute blog you have here! I pray you are staying warm and not freezing in NC!
God bless you,
