Simply Woman Daybook

If you wold like to join in with this wonderful day book happenings ...please feel free to visit Peggy at her blog, she is a wonderful hostess and would love for you guys to visit..

FOR TODAY... September 21, 2009

Outside my window...the sun has not come up all the way yet but it has a wonderful glow as it is trying to rise in the sky because it is so early in the morning, but I can see a brown bird siting on the other side of my deck chirping.

I am thinking... about how grateful I am for such wonderful friends I have at one of my favorite blogs right now, which is Sugar pie Farmhouse: You gals rock!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for.....
everything that God has bless my family and I with, food on our table, roof over our head, clothes on our backs, economy is really getting rough and I thank God for his mercy.......................

I am wearing...a blue jean skirt and a white cotton blouse with my bedroom slippers still own, I also have on a colorful shawl because I am sitting on the porch watching the sun rise and typing this on my laptop and it is a little cool out here.....

I am remembering...... what a wonderful time my hubby and I had on Friday during our date night, we watched The Time Traveler's Wife and it was oh so good......

I am creating...a new home school schedule for next week, and finishing up the shopping list for our Mega Shopping day on Thursday.

I am going...get the house deep clean to get ready for my brother and his family to get here on Friday, they are coming home to visit, my brother and his family lives in Ohio, and we have not seen them since Easter... We are so excited.

I am reading...my Bible and Becoming the Woman Who Please God....by Pat Ennis... We are reading it as a group over at Sugar Pie Farmhouse....

I am hoping...and praying that everyone reading my blog including my self have a blessed week, and that the Lord allows me to have the best birthday ever this Wednesday I will be turning 31.....

On my mind...all the things that I really need to do to get the house ready for the Fall and Winter months. Excited to see my brother and his family, all of my nieces and nephews...

From the learning rooms...home schooling the children

Noticing that...I really need to start the laundry this morning

Pondering these words... Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
Psalm 1:24

From the kitchen...Baked Oatmeal with fresh fruit and brown sugar, for lunch it will be tuna salad and crackers with cheese, and dinner will be baked chicken and baked potatoes, with broccoli spears.

Around the house...doing some cleaning and laundry, homeschooling, and just spending some time with the family.

One of my favorite things: cuddling up in a warm blanket with my hubby or one of the children when it is cold outside while either reading a good book or watching one of our favorite movies.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Cleaning, cooking meals to put in the freezer as always, Celebrating my birthday on Wednesday with my sister, (were twins) and preparing for the arrival of my big brother and family etc..

From my picture journal...

This is a picture that I had my daughter take of me on Friday...I was so excited to be getting my book so that I could read with my sisters over at Sugar Pie Farmhouse

Have a Blessed week everyone...

It's good to meet you, DeNiece :) I hope y'all enjoy the book -- I read it a few years back and really liked it. I have all kind of pages folded back and passages marked up (now that's the sign of a well-used book :)).

Have a happy Birthday.
Sitting out on the deck with your laptop painted a pretty picture. I'll be able to go out there with my first cup of coffee in the morning soon.
Want to hear more about mega shopping and cooking food for the freezer, soon.
Have a good week.

I followed you over from my friend Jamala's blog (Marriage After His Heart).

You have a wonderful blog here. I have a quick question: You mentioned mega-shopping. Do you do the cooking for a month deal where you freeze the meals and serve as needed? I was wondering if an extra freezer is a must-have for that type of thing.

Oh, yes, happy birthday!
