Simple Woman's Daybook

If you wold like to join in with this wonderful day book happenings ...please feel free to visit Peggy at her blog, she is a wonderful hostess and would love for you guys to visit..

For Today… Monday, November 8, 2010

Outside my window... it is sunny and chilly. It’s supposed to reach the lower 60’s. The leaves in my yard are turning colors and it is so pretty.

I am thinking... that I have a long weekend ahead of me and my family. This week is our Pastor's church anniversary (our pastor is also my Father-n-law lol) so we have three nights of service which is Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night. On Saturday is the big Banquet and then the service on Sunday following dinner at my in laws. I know some would think this is alot to do for a pastor but my father-n-law slash pastor is a wonderful man of God and he truly lives what he preaches and teaches so we as a family and church family thank Almighty God for him. Also I am planning sleeping arrangements because my sister, her husband and my nephew are staying the week with us.

I am thankful for...everything that God has bless my family and I with, food on our table, roof over our head, clothes on our backs, economy is really getting rough and I thank God for his mercy.......................

I am wearing... a jean skirt with a blue blouse and some socks and bedroom shoes

I am remembering...what a great and fun weekend we just had. My family and I rested on Saturday and then Saturday afternoon we went to McDonald and brought the children a hot Coco and then my hubby and I went to Starbucks and brought us large Pumpkin Spice Lattes and just sat outside and enjoyed the weather.

I am going... to the store to pick up a few things my sister and her husband are coming in this afternoon and are spending the week with us since they will be in Connecticut with his family for Thanksgiving....I really miss seeing my sissy everyday she stays about four hours from me now, but we do talk every single day.

I am reading... "A Wife After God's Own Heart " by Elizabeth George. I always reading my Bible so that is apart of my reading and I currently am reading Galatians I am on Chapter Five.

I am hoping... and praying that everyone reading my blog including my self have a blessed week.

On my mind... all the things that I really need to do to get the house ready for the Fall and Winter months. Also how good God is, how he wake me up this morning and let me clothes myself in my right mind and that he covered me, my family, and friends under his blood while we slept through the night.

From the learning rooms… home schooling the children...Working on the basic academics and new Bible verses and learning about Thanksgiving.

Noticing that… I really need to start the laundry this morning and make some bread

From the kitchen…there is blueberry muffins in the oven, along with sausage for breakfast,  there will be a baked spaghetti casserole with garlic bread and a homemade lemon pound cake.

One of my favorite things: is spending time with the Lord in the wee hours of the morning, talking and listening to his holy word.  Pumpkin-spice scented candles

A few plans for the rest of the week: Getting ready for my sister and her family to arrive and stay the week. Also prepared for a full and busy week preparing for the Pastor's church anniversary.

From my picture journal... I just love this Retro Sign and I love Pies......Doesn't that pie make  you just want to sit down and have a slice and just chat away.

Hi DeNiece,

I just wanted to come by and see how you and your family were doing. Have a great time with your sister.

I used the flower cookie cutter you gave me last year this morning when I was making Lexi's sandwich for lunch. She has a little flower turkey sandwich:)

Have a great monday!
