For Today... Monday August 17, 2009
Outside my window... The sun is rising and it is warm outside, looks like its going to be a beautiful day....
I am thinking... how blessed we are to have a wonderful home to stay in and good food to eat.
From the learning rooms... We are almost ready to start a new school year, all the materials have been brought and the children are looking forward to advancing to new grade levels, I am trying a new curriculum this time we will see how that works for all the children.
I am thankful for... my wonderful husband and children.. they are the best family anyone could ask for.
From the kitchen... for breakfast this morning its baked oatmeal, with real maple syrup. For lunch it will be chicken-salad sandwich made from leftover chicken from yesterday's dinner Dinner will be a Lasagna with garlic bread and a fresh garden salad, and brownies.
I am wearing... my favorite jean skirt and a pink and white t-shirt, I am also wearing my kiss the cook apron, with my hair up in a clip, and my fuzzy bedroom slippers.
I am reading...Little House in the Big Woods for the millionth time to the children along with Oliver Twist, and I am reading Nora Roberts Once upon a Dream, along with my Bible everyday.
I am hoping... to finish up some canning this week of some tomatoes a friend give us from their garden.
I am creating... a new schedule for this week
I am praying... everyone, and for a blessed week this week
Around the house... I will be finishing up deep cleaning the pantry and reorganizing it.
One of my favorite things... just setting together as a family at night listening to my husband read from the Bible, while the children sit at our feet, and just listen while hugging our legs, and praying that they decide to listen and not fuss about who's sitting to close to who : )
A few plans for the rest of the week... I will be doing our Mega shopping on Wednesday, reorganizing the pantry, working on finishing our home school schedule, and just enjoying my family.

I am so ready for the trees to start looking like this...But we do have to wait until October here in North Carolina before they really look like this.....I got this wonderful picture on line at a friend's website and I cant wait to use it for a seasonal screen saver..

I enjoyed your daybook. I like the tree and would love a copy of the photo. I'm ready for Fall, too. I'll bet you see it before me since you are further north. I know you've excited about the new year of school.

Hi DeNiece! What curriculum are you using this year? I homeschool my daughter and we are trying to find a curriculum to use this year. One more question..could you post all of your recipes? I need all the help I can get around the kitchen...you hubby's burgers, your meatloaf, etc...thank you so much for your blog!

That is a beautiful picture, so pretty! I love it when the trees turn in the fall, and then I love it when they green up in the spring again!
