I Was Just Thinking........MMMMM

I was sitting in my cozy corner when I was just thinking to myself, and reading a friend of mines blog (which I love to visit her she too is very inspirational) her name is Joann and please take time to go and visit her. I do not want the ladies that read my blog to think that I am a perfect wife, mother, or christian woman, I am striving to be all of these things, but we all know that the devil likes to mess in our lives so that he can make us unhappy and miserable. No one is happy all the time Why ? I know people are asking well I have come to the conclusion that life can throw some hard curve balls and sometimes the good Lord lets us experience them so that he can test us and carry us through our storms. I am not perfect, I sometime get angry, but our Bible tells us to be ye angry but sin not...... I sometime can get lazy and don't feel like cooking and then we go out to eat. My hubby and I do not always see eye to eye and can get angry sometimes, but we still hold on to the promises of God. As far as been a keeper of my home that is something that I love to do , but yet and still I get days where I don't feel like homeschooling or cleaning, and that is when I really have to pray so that God can put me back on the right track. So what I am saying is I don't want my readers to think that my live and my family is perfect because WE ARE NOT, we are depending on our father God to see us through each and everyday, and that is why I have to get up early in the morning to pray so that this world out here will not knock me or my family off our feet. This blog is to encourage women, so that we can grow and be good keepers of our homes and taking care of our families and such. I want us all to grow together in Christ and be the proverbs women we are all out striving to be. Thank you to all of my blogging friends for all the well wishes when I was sick, I feel 100% better today. Here is one of the recipes from last week's in the kitchen video that I promised.

Baked oatmeal

1. In a mixing bowl put 2 1/2 cups of quick cooking oatmeal and 1/2 cup of brown sugar mix

2. Add to that a 2 cups of milk

3. Add one egg

4. 2 Tablespoons of soft butter

5. Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder

6. 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract (pure vanilla is best)

7. Add a pinch of sea salt, then stir everything together

8. Add about 5 Tablespoons of maple syrup

9. 1 tablespoon of honey (raw honey is the best)

10. At this time you may add rasians, fruit whatever you like then stir

11. Grease a n 8X8 baking pan and pour into the pan

12.Place a piece of aluminum foil or shan wrap over the pan and place in the refrigerate into the next morning

13. The next morning you can bake it at 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes

14. This is also good hot from the oven with fresh yogurt (crockpot homemade yogurt) and berries placed on top of the oatmeal.

* Remeber to change the measurements around if you are feeding a small family or a larger family*

This is an old family recipe but I know that you can get a similar version off line. I hope you guys enjoy and also I will be back with my beef and tomato pasta bake recipe tomorrow if the Lord allows..... Have a blessed day

No baby??? I was praying for a baby!
We all know you are not perfect and that you are a woman after God's own heart. That is what makes you attainable.
Be Blessed....the oatmeal recipe is very similar to mine except I use 2 eggs and no maple syrup....that part sounds really good!

Thank you for your comment on my blog. You are too sweet! I appreciate your blog so much because you are so different from most women that I know. You remind me of a young version of my mom! I wish there were more women like you that put God, family and home first. Most of the women I know are caught up in being independent and not wanting their families to be dependent on them. They want everything to be convenient and trouble-free. Blogging has been a blessing for me, because I've met women who love to take care of home and family. You all go that extra mile for the benefit of your families, by trying to save money, homeschooling and cooking and baking homecooked meals. That's the way I was raised, but had gotten away from it after my mom passed. I got caught up in the way that others were doing things out of convenience. I feel that God led me to the blogs on here for that reason. I strive to be a Prov.31 woman, and knowing other P31 women like yourself (who are not perfect), gives me strength. I appreciate your friendship!

Be Blessed!

This is such a refreshing post. I think so many of us can get caught up in what others are thinking of us and not want to appear as if we are not perfect. God knows that none of us is and it is always a blessing to be able to share our shortcomings with others because it blesses them when they deal with trials in their own lives. I am always telling people how imperfect I am, LOL! Your baked oatmeal sounds a lot like the one I make for my own family. My husband doesn't care for it baked but my girls love it so on his work days which he leaves very early, I make this for the girls and I for breakfast. Can't wait to see your next recipe!

Yes, I don't like to give the impression that my life is perfect because it is not. That's why my videos are like they are- the REALITY of me and my life :) I did make a video of my house yesterday but i'm out of batteries so it'll have to wait!

DeNiece, I am glad you are feeling better. I enjoyed your post. Although I am not married/no children, I admire and use the martial/family information you share as a reference for the day that I become a wife and/or mother. You and the other ladies are great examples.
I undestand that no one is perfect and I appreciate your transparency regarding that.

Continue to be blessed!

Oh and thank you for the receipe! I cannot wait to make this Saturday.
