Glad To Be Home

Just wanted everyone to know that McKenzie and I are fine and that we are home, I come home Wednesday and the pain is so much more better and the swelling has gone down a lot. Little Mrs. McKenzie is doing great just a lot of kicking me lol. But the doctors still are not sure what bite me but he thinks it was some kind of spider because of the bite marks. But I am going to get some rest and my hubby and children are taking good care of me. I have to go to the doctor Friday to get a recheck to check on the swelling. But I am doing good still on the antibiotics which I hate because McKenzie is in my tummy but the doctors said that they were giving me a low dose in my IV and also a low dose that I am to take at home for a couple of more days. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as God heals my body, and the good news is that the bite does not seem to be affected Kenzie (we will call her that for short) and he and my OB doctor said that they do not think it will have any lasting affects on me or my princess. Thanks for all of your prayers.......

Sounds like you were probably bitten by a jumping spider, or perhaps a wolf spider. They are not poisonous, but like all spiders, they have venom. It sounds like you are having a bit of an allergic reaction to the bite.

The antibiotics aren't going to help the bite heal, unless it created a bacterial infection. Some bites can cause that, so that may be why you are on meds.

Basically, you need to drink lots of water and take it easy like you have been. Glad to hear that you and baby are doing well. :-)
