2011 Spring and Summer Reading List For Me

Hello dear friends I pray all had a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend and that we are all thankful for Jesus's sacrifice of himself for each and everyone of our sins so that we may live in Heaven with him and our father God forever and ever.....Oh I am so glad and so humbly thankful for God's son Jesus oh I can not put it in words I can go on and on......But anywho back to the post....I am currenting getting together some of the books that I would like to read or with some of them reread this spring and summer.

These is my collection thus far...

I have read Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian and all of the ones on this top row but I really what to dive back in them and this time read and concentrate more slower on them because we all know when we get a new book from the bookstore or from the mail we are so excited to read it that we read right through it without really taking time to understand what is truly been said to our hearts (Well at least I know I do lol) The book Becoming a Woman Who Pleases God is a book that I was reading with a sister forum that I am apart of (hello Sugar Pie Sisters and Aunt Ruthie) last year....

I love all of the authors but my favoriate is Elizabeth George and I have some of her books as you can see from the pictures but have only read two of them: I have read Beautiful in God's Eyes and A Wife After God's Own Heart

So hopefully this season in my life along with being a wife, mother, teacher, friend, daughter, aunt etc I can read and reread some of these wonderful books and let God speak to my heart and mind so that I can be a better homemaker, teacher, friend, wife, mother and everything else I need to be in this walk of life. What are some of the books you will be reading this spring and summer comment and let me know I just might like to read that one too even if it maybe in the fall or winter.....Its storming here in the Carolinas , and all the schooling and house work is done so I am off to read for a bit and the first one I am starting is A Woman 's High Calling......Have a wonderful Tuesday.....

DeNiece~ I have almost all the same books, but somehow I have lost my Power of a praying wife somewhere in the house. I am so mad at myself for not being able to find it, guess I need to get going on the 31 days to clean as soon as I can....my house is a mess.Blessings,Joann

I love the books you've shown and have read them several times also. I'm currently reading the newest (I think) Elizabeth George book, "A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus", and I also bought, "The Happy Home Handbook by Jo Berry off of eBay. That book was quoted in "A Woman After Gods Own Heart." I love reading old homemaking books and have several favorites.

I love reading, too and have a few of those books you are going to read this summer. I often go through them too fast too, or am reading more than one at a time!

Blessings,

Homemaking for Christ

Hello and welcome to Organized Homemaking for Christ...... So just sit yourself down and have a cup of tea and some cookies and lets talk about the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ., lets talk about the goodness of God and how he has brought us this far and how we as believers in Christ will continue to follow his words pertaining to being homemakers, helpmeets to our husbands, and mothers to our children.
