Well ever since I have had my blog many people have asked me about different things in my life and I just never got around to answering most of the questions but some of the questions I actually did posts on. Well yesterday I opened my blog up for questions (Lord what was I thinking lol) so I am going to answer the questions that I was asked but I am going to answer them in a part 1 and 2 series so today will be part 1 and I hope that you all enjoy getting to know me...
Q: Will you be doing a complete house tour in the current house?
A. Yes I will I am so sorry that I have not posted a full video like the others but I have been really busy and the only time I really get down time is when the smaller children are napping and the older ones are doing other things such as reading, etc... Plus there are still some things that I would like to do to the house before I give a completed tour. Now someone did ask me a while back if I was a afraid to give a full house tour with many of my blog followers known I stay in NC, but like I told her no I am not because just because you guys know what state I live in and you see the inside of my house does not mean you have seen the outside of my house so there for no one knows my neighborhood . But like I said as soon as I get the time to really dedicate to a full video where I am actually talking and walking you guys through my home then I will.
Q: What do you think are the PRO's and CON's of homeschooling?
A: Great question: To me the pros of homeschooling and these are just my opinions is that I get to spend more time with my children and I get to teach them the word of God also which is something that is not taught in school anymore. Also we grow closer as a family and to me that is important because I am teaching my children. There was so much going on in the school system when my oldest first started and I really did not like the curriculum that was been taught, and now I know we did not make a mistake about sending our children to school because just watching what goes on in the news about bullying, gangs, etc we prefer to have them home. Now don't get me wrong there are some wonderful private schools and public schools in the country but I chose to do it myself, now some people would call it sheltering your children but so what I am trying to teach them God's way and teach them about that they can be whatever they want to be in life. I have told my daughters that if they wanted to me homemakers they can be because I am showing them how but if they want to go to college and be professors, teachers, etc. they can be that also so longs as they acknowledge and serve God and put him first in their lives, because one thing my husband and I know is that they may want to follow their own path like we did growing up. I also feel as if we can accomplish more learning in a day then most children learn in a week lol. Some of the cons I think with homeschooling as been that sometimes my children think that since they are home schooled then they should not have to get up early and do school work lol, and believe it or not being with your children 24/7 can sometimes be nerve racking (just being honest here people) they fight and scream and yell and just sometimes have bad days too and now with Kenzie here it can be a little overwhelming trying to make sure they stay focused and on track while I am taking care of Kenzie's needs also. But I will leave this answer to this question at that and hopefully really soon I can do a whole post on what I think about homeschooling.
Q: How old are you?
A. I am 33 (and still in my prime lol)
Q: What are your views on body image and beauty as it is portrayed in the current culture?
A:I think I am a beautiful woman, now I do not look like the models out here but I think I am still one beautiful women and plus my husband thinks so too. I think that people focus on body images way to much, I think that modesty in most places has going out of the window and now that summer will soon be here young ladies and young men do not leave anything to the imagination. As for as everyone focusing on body weight so much I think that yes we should exercise and eat right so that we may stay healthy because when you are healthy you and your body feel so much better, no before anyone ask I am not at my body weight as of yet but I am trying, I have even thought about taking a local Zumba class because it looks like fun and it will help tone me up more. I think that beauty is a inner thing and if a person is beautiful in the inside then no matter how they look on the outside that inner beautiful will surpass everything else and that inner beauty is all one will see.
Q: What is your favorite book in the Bible and why.
A: I would have to say Genesis, because this book is one of my favorites in the Bible because it is the story of our creation and our deliverance. This book tells the plan and the heart of God for becoming one of his people and his everlasting love for each and everyone of us. In these pages I have discovered God’s saving work in creation, in history and in my own life through Jesus Christ.
Q: I was wondering if you use any Bible study books or devotional books with your older kids. Also, did you use any Bible story books with your kids when they were little or did you just read to them straight from the Bible?
A: I have always read to my children straight from the Bible but my husband and I broke it down to where they could understand it. We usually would buy coloring pages for them to color as we tell them about the characters of the Bible, but now that the older two are getting older we read to them and let them see if they can explain to us what they feel like the Bible is saying to them and we discuss it, with the twins we are still reading and explaining to them and letting them do the coloring worksheets, there are some wonderful websites were we get some of our worksheets from one of these sites is Resources for Christian Teachers . Now each one of my children were given Bibles for Little ones for Christmas presents as they each turned one and one of the ones were God's Little Princess Devotional Bibles and Little Boys Bibles for Father and Son which you can see pictures of their Bibles in my second home tour because I take a picture of them doing their school work the morning I did that video. With these Bibles they loved to look through the pictures and see all the beautiful colors and characters.
Q: What is your families favorite meal?
A: My family loves anything related to chicken but I would have to say that when I asked everyone what their favorite meal was they said dad's grilled chicken and I have to say I agree but my husband said his is my fried chicken lol.
Q: How do you keep your children busy throughout the day when they are not doing school work?
A: We do a lot around here lol. We do not stay home everyday, we had a home school group were we use to live (We have to fine out if there is a home school group here in the new town) that gets together for field trips and other activities such as art, Gym,etc. My children were taken gym on Thursdays at the Family YMCA and we were going to Michael's on Tuesdays for an art lesson for homeschools and most of these place do it for homeschooling groups and it is not expensive. But I will be doing a post on our homeschool so I will not go to much in detail because it is a post of its own. But when we are not out in about we are home and yes my children have time to play outside if the weather permits and yes they do have video games, way not they are children and we have a wii. They each are in sports which the two boys play basketball for our church league which play against other churches and the girls take dance and now that the summer is upon us they all love baseball and softball so there will be more practices , so see there is more to my life and we do alot of ranning around trying to get everything complleted, I have already starting looking and asking around about baseball and softball season here in town.
Q: Do you sew or have hobbies that you enjoy?
A: Yes I do knit and sew but I would not say its a hobby because I get to it as I have time, mostly doing winter when it is cold outside and doing raining days. I would have to say that my favorite hobby is reading and are you ready for this one......drawing no I am not that great at it and may never make a dime off of one of my drawings but I love it I doodle on everything lol.
Q: How did you meet your husband?
A: Long story and that too is another post in it self..See you guys are giving me posts to write about and here I am thinking I really had nothing else to write about. But I will be posting how I met my honey and at first I did not like him and throught omg he is not attractive lol so I will leave you hanging with that and be back soon with a post about how we met and fell in love.
Q: How long did you wait until after you were married to have kids?
A: Not long at all I got pregrant about 7 months after getting married.
Q: What does your husband to for a living?
A: My husband is the head administer for a 350 bed nursing home faculty he just graduated last year with his Master degree in Business Adminstration. You can read about it here in this post.
Well I will be back soon with the rest of the answers to the questions I was asked. Thank you so much everyone for jumping right in and asking. If there are still anymore questions besides the ones I have left to answer you may still leave them in the comments and I will pull them out in answer them along with the others in Part 2. Have a blessed weekend....

Homemaking for Christ
Hello and welcome to Organized Homemaking for Christ...... So just sit yourself down and have a cup of tea and some cookies and lets talk about the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ., lets talk about the goodness of God and how he has brought us this far and how we as believers in Christ will continue to follow his words pertaining to being homemakers, helpmeets to our husbands, and mothers to our children.

Would LOVE to see a tutorial or a recipe on how to make fried chicken. I made it only a couple of times and it turned out nasty. One was burnt and tasteless and the other was way too greasy. I think it's an art form to be able to make good fried chicken!
Thanks for your blog
Kate
I enjoyed reading this and getting to know you a little better, DeNiece.
