All is Well After Hurricane Irene and Some Pictures After the Storm

Hello dear friends all is well after hurricane Irene. We are home but we have to stay at a hotel because there is no power in our neighbor hood. There are power lines down and trees and limbs are everywhere. We have been back since yesterday, we have started the clean up process and notified the electric company (which stated it could be as late as Wednesday getting the power on because there are so many homes in the town without lights and we have power lines down over here and until they fix the lines they can not turn the power back on, which is understandable no electricity no live lines, which we stay away from them anyway you can never be to safe) We have lost trees and lots of shingles from our roof. But everything else is just fine. Alot of the neighbors have all pitched in and we have been helping one another clean up the yards in our neighbor hood. But since we dont have power I had to come to McDonald to get a Wi-fi connection so I can let everyone know that we are all ok but they have been one death here in town do to the storm. and to my understanding I think there has been about 12 deaths relate to the storm up and down the east coast. But here are some pictures and I will hopely be back as soon as we get power.......

Here is a picture of the tree in my yard before the storm

This is Saturday after Hurricane Irene

I will be back with more pictures  when everything is cleaned up and power is restored. Thank you all for the prayers you sent our way doing the storm. I thank God for his mercy over my family and my home because it could have been the other way and we could have lost one of our family members or friends or our home. I am sending my prayers out to all of the ones that have last family and friends and their homes because of Hurricane Irene....

Here are a few pictures from the neighborhood hopely:

My neighbor's house on the left side had a tree through their window. No one was hurt

Across the street from me tree uprooted and split in half

Next door neighbor on the right side, tree down in his front yard
