Hurricane Irene and Happy Birthday To My Sweet Twins

Hello dear friends , I just wanted to ask for prayer for all of the east coast from Florida to the Virgina coast. I am also asking for prayer for the ones in Puerto Rico and the ones that are in the path of this hurricane right now as I sit and type this. I do know that Hurricane Irene is headed in our direction and the weather man said that it should be a category 3 before it hits here. As you all know my family and I live in NC so when you get a chance can you please pray for our safety along with everyone that is in the path of this storm. Please pray that God sends it out to sea out of harms way....

He is so much taller then her. I did a post about two years ago for their birthday and had pictures up you can go back and look at that post and see how big they have gotten.)

I would also like to wish my twins Devin and Daysia a happy 9th birthday today. They are getting so big.
I have been getting the house cleaned and getting everything ready for their birthday dinner. My parents are driving up along with my mother and father-n-law and they all will be staying until Thursday. The twins asked to have country fried steak with saw mill gravy (in case you are wondering it basically is a white gravy instead of brown gravy kind of like the one you can get at any Cracker Barrel restaurant), they also what mashed potatoes and I am going to cook some fresh green beans to go with it. But anyway so today is going to be a busy day getting rooms ready for the grandparents. I am so looking forward to having them all here even through we have moved we are still not that far away maybe an hour thirty minutes at the most but I also love for them to come up. So yesterday I did laundry today it is just making sure the house is picked up and the bedrooms are ready and I need to get the air mattresses out for the children because the sets of grandparents will be using the kids rooms to sleep in. My parents will be in the girls room and my hubby's parents will be in the boys rooms.  Oh Where Oh Where has the time gone my children are getting so big Jaron is 14 and Crystal is 13 and the twins are 9 today and little McKenzie turned 1 back in June, My Babies are growing up...Oh well you can't stop time. Well until later everyone happy homemaking..... laugh.gif

Prayed for you all and your safety! Happy Birthday to your children! :)

I wish I could have me some Cracker Barrel food, they have no restaurants out here in Washington state and not many people even know what Cracker Barrel is LOL! My favorite is their country ham with okra and turnip greens mmm.....! You can take a girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl hehe. ;-)

Hi DeNeice,

I will definitely pray for your safety. Your children are growing so beautifully. And I love the fact that they can still put their arms around each other without going, "ewwww!" lol

My children and I lived in NC for four years and one of our nicest memories is going to the Cracker Barrel and sitting on the rocking chairs watching the sunset!

God bless,

Lady Kara

Praying that you all will be safe and sound. :)

I hope that the twins enjoyed their special day.
My oldest is turning 18 tomorrow and his traveling soccer team is having a big bbq at the assistant coaches house. He will be staying over night there. I was so upset because I was all ready to make his favorite dinner (chinese) and now he won't even be here!
I think I might even be sulking about it. ;p
Oh well. I guess we'll just have to do it the day after.
You're so right that time goes fast. Before you know it, they're not even home for their b-days!

OH I would LOVE to know how to make that meal. Chicken fried steak tastes SO good. And the gravy on top? Fabulous. I have no idea hwo to make it. I tried years ago and it was an utter failure. I know you are busy, but I can still wish you could show us how to make that!
Happy Birthday to your sweet blessings.

Oh, and of course we will be praying as a family for your safety in the storm. He is the protector and will put His hands over your home.
