The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ May 18 2009

If you wold like to join in with this wonderful daybook happenings ...please feel free to visit Peggy at her blog, she is a wonderful hostess and would love for you guys to visit..

For Today... Monday May 18, 2009

Outside my window... Its cloudy and rainy and a little on the chilly side.

I am thinking... how blessed we are to have a wonderful home to stay in and good food to eat.

From the learning rooms... We are almost coming to an end of our heavy homeschooling schedule, we homeschool all year round, but doing the summer months we just have light days, I have already placed an order for our school books for the fall of this year.. You know what the saying is "The Early Bird Catches the Worm"

I am thankful for... my wonderful husband and children.. they are the best family anyone could ask for.

From the kitchen... for breakfast this morning its baked oatmeal, with real maple syrup. For lunch it will be egg-salad sandwich with tomato soup. Dinner will be a Lasagna with garlic bread and a fresh garden salad, and a homemade apple pie. I will be baking a few pies and loaves of bread today, so the house will be smelling wonderful this morning.

I am wearing... my favorite jean skirt and a UNC Tarheels championship shirt "Go Tarheels" I am also wearing my kiss the cook apron, with my hair up in a clip, and my fuzzy bedroom slippers.

I am reading... By the Shores of Silver Lake to the children, and I am reading for the 3rd time Created to be his helpmeet, along with my Bible everyday.

I am hoping... to finish crocheting a rug for my back hallway.

I am creating... I am crocheting a rug for my back hallway

I am praying... along with Peggy for sun, sun and perhaps even more sun this week

Around the house... I will be finishing up deep cleaning the pantry and reorganizing it.

One of my favorite things... just setting together as a family at night listening to my husband read from the Bible, while the children sit at our feet, and just listen while hugging our legs.

A few plans for the rest of the week... I will be doing our Mega shopping on Wednesday, reorganizing the pantry, working in the garden, and just enjoying my family.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

My wonderful children all dressed and ready for church so that we can hear the word of God.....

I have my mega shopping of the month being delivered Wednesday. I worked out that by using the supermarket's online ordering and delivery service and choosing the cheapest time of the week for delivery we actually save money because it's easier to spot special offers online than it is in store.

Look at those beautiful children! Yall know how to get ready for church :) My church is fairly casual, but I was just brought up that you dress up for church, out of respect for the Lord. My husband doesn't wear a suit, but he wears a tie and dress clothes.

Homemaking for Christ

Hello and welcome to Organized Homemaking for Christ...... So just sit yourself down and have a cup of tea and some cookies and lets talk about the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ., lets talk about the goodness of God and how he has brought us this far and how we as believers in Christ will continue to follow his words pertaining to being homemakers, helpmeets to our husbands, and mothers to our children.
