EDIT: Alot of my viewers have comment that they like the fall pictures in my post especially the dining table with the pumpkins but I just wanted to let everyone know that these pictures are not of my home they are pictures from varies people that I had premission to use from their decorating last year....I am sorry that everyone thought they were mine, but I will be posting pictures of my fall theme in the later part of September...Sorry for the misunderstanding.. I just used these pictures to get everyone in the Fall mood..Well as you all know Fall is my favorite time of the year....It is right around the corner.....Don't get me wrong I love all God's season and no I am not rushing the summer but I am so over summer lol I am ready for some cooling temperates it has been a hot one this year lol....Plus I love decorating for the Fall. First you start off by lighting a pumpkin scent candle, I usually start to do this in the middle of September because I really am in the fall spirit by that time.....
Then turn on your radio or computer and listen to songs that make you feel all nice and cozy....As if you are cuddle up in a chair with a great book and a warm blanket.... My favorite is Julie Andrews and Doris Day.....Boy those ladies can sing...
Then put on your aprons and lets get in the kitchen and start making pies and goodies to freeze for later. So lets makes lots and lots of pies, the music is lovely the candle has left a warm smell in the house along with the scent of all the wonderful goodies.. This is the time were you begin to make soups of all different kinds so you will have them for the winter time.. Hearty vegetable soup to lift the spirits, Soothing Chicken Noodle Soup to soothe the soul.... Oh how wonderful..
Now that all that's doing you gather around with your family at the fireplace and read God's holy word and read a book aloud like Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Oh how cozy, just the through of known that Thanksgiving will be here soon and the air will get cooler.
Now lets put on our warm sweaters, Don't worry about the heavy coats we don't need them just yet, its just chilly out now, we are off to the fall fair, to take a pie so we can enter the pie contest and eat and smell some of the wonderful aroma.. grilled corn on the cob, fried turkey legs....My oh my...That's some good eating. We are going to play games while we are there, ring toss and balloon popping and maybe rides the Ferris wheel.....

Now it time to head home to the pumpkin patch some we can stop and get our harvest pumpkins to decorate the house with
Now lets head home and decorate the house and drink hot apple cider or a warm cup of coffee with pumpkin spice creamer...That is so good..

Come on in and rest awhile... Oh ladies it makes one so ready can't you guys see the leaves changing colors, smell all the wonderful fall smells.......Well you are all welcome to join me when its time to decorate for the Fall Season be blessed dearies.

Lovely post DeNiece!!
I see I am not the only one with autumn on the brain. Fall is my favorite time of year. I can't wait! Now that I have read this post I am really ready!
I love Fall the best too! I loved your little trip down Autumn Lane. I'm ready to light the candles, make the soup and snuggle under a quilt too.
DeNiece~ Fall is my favorite time of the year too. Summer is my least favorite, heat and me do not get along very well :)
Have a great Tuesday..
Blessings,Joann
I feel the same way- we are over summer! And we have at least two months of summer weather left here :( But I am looking forward to fall and have even made sure my decorating scheme will mesh well with it when it's time to bring out the pumpkins and scarecrows and colorful leaves.
DeNiece, I just recently found your blog and I love it! Today's post was great. God Bless, Dolores
I LOVE fall!! I love the foods, and the anticipation of Thanksgiving ~ my favorite holiday. I love baking bread and serving it with some yummy, warm soup and cheese and serving it to my kids with cold cheeks and noses. I love the smell of crisp, fallen leaves and I love wearing sweaters and scarves most of all. I love how everything "goes to bed" until the promise of spring. I love being inside after a summer of outside sunshine because I save all my knitting, needlework, scrapbooking, etc, for the colder months when I can't go out very much.
I had a hot drink at a friend's house that was so yummy. She called it "Hot Apple Dumpling Drink". It was hot apple cider with a pinch of cinnamon, a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. OH, Denice! It was incredibly delicious and so festive. Just had to share that one with you :o)
Do your pies hold up well in the freezer? I'm always a bit scared to put them in there ~ not sure why.
Blessings to you and yours,
Heatherj

I started a Fall lap quilt and can't wait to bring out my Fall candles. I'm freezing black berries and can't wait to smell blackberry cobbler baking in the oven.
Fall is coming just like you said!
Autumn is my favorite season as well, and you have captured teh feelings of the season so beautifully. It is truly the coziest season of them all!
Girl! You paint a lovely picture!!! Fall is my favorite season too!! I am VERY ready for it to get here! I'm ready for the cool weather and the beautiful colors and the crunchy leaves & the NC State Fair with all the fine foods! hee hee
You picked a GREAT day to post this, when it registered above 95 here in Raleigh, NC!!!!
Great post! I seriously can't wait till fall :)
I am with ya gals. I can't WAIT for fall.
Ooh, Autumn is my favorite month, also. I love college football and can't wait for the games to begin. I love going to Fairs, Festivals, and Carnivals. I like the beautiful colors God paints the trees. I enjoy wearing jeans or a denim skirt and sweater. Baking Banana or Pumpkin bread and cooking a pot of soup. Going for a walk in the woods. Having a fire in the firepit on the deck on a cool evening.
Now, you've just awakened all sorts of memories.

I love fall, its my favorite season!
Hey DeNiece. I have been following your blog for a while, silently. I love your blog and it is a real inspiration to me as a Christian and as a homemaker. Well, you have inspired me to finally create one of my own. Will you be the first to view it?
Your blog is beautiful DeNiece.
How encouraging!
I'm so excited to find it. And looking forward too reading more.
(((Thank so much)))
God bless you,

What a "warm & inviting" picture you paint. I, too am soooo ready for Fall. The colors, the smells, I can't wait. BTW- Love your blog. I too, have been a "silent follower" for a while and was also bitten by the blogging bug. Thank you, DeNiece. Hope everyone is in good health. Be Blessed!
i agree! fall is my favorite time of year too. i can't wait for the chill in the air, the crisp smells of fall, the pumpkins to be picked and of course all the baking and cooking i do once it cools off outside!
Ok, I'm so ready for fall now!!! Thanks for the early visualization!
Hi! I found you from Candy's wonderful site...
It seems your fall is my Christmas...I am in the Christmas Spirit already, LOL. I'll read the same book w/peppermint flavored coffee creamer and an evergreen candle, Deal??
You blog is lovely. (I don't use that word much, but it really seems to fit here!)
Blessings,

PS, I just noticed that you have a ticker to countdown 'til fall.
I kid you not, I have a Christmas ticker in my head. I tell my family every few days...
It's 139 days, in case you're wondering!!
:-)

Deniece, reading your post has made me long for fall. I love that time of year and can't wait for it to cool down in Texas. Thanks for a wonderful retreat from the heat at least for a moment. I will be back to visit. Thanks for stopping by and becoming a follower. I got so behind with posting during the final weeks of CIJ and I have had family wall to wall for the past week or so.
just love how you set your dining table...
what a cute blog!!! do you really make soups ahead of time??? if so how do you freeze them?? like what do you put them in?? thanks!!
I am probably the only one here that feels like this, but I am not a huge fan of fall. To me, it can be depressing. I love spring and summer so much, and fall reminds me that time is marching on and it will be a long wait for the world to green up again.
However, I do agree with a lot of this post. It helps a lot to just enjoy whatever season it is, and your ideas are definitely on target for that.
But it is hot as anything here in Oklahoma, so I'm not going to be baking any pies for a while! I like to keep the kitchen nice and cool! I will wait for the first chilly October day, and see what I can do then. :)
