Well I just though that I would blog today about being a mom, I love being a mother it is the best thing in the world but can also be the hardest thing in the world....My husband and I choose for me to be home and be a stay at home mother, I also breast feed all of my children, cooked all the meals (hubby helped sometimes too ) cleaned the house and did all the laundry....which sometimes really got on my nerves why because I was tired and sometimes I did not get to bed until late....So what am I trying to say well there are so many blogs out here that makes being a wife and mother seem to be the easiest thing in the world, as long as you pray and put God first..Well I do and sometimes we just want to give up, but God is there with us...because no mother or wife is perfect, Yes I am a stay at home mom and I breast fed all my kids , but that does not make me know better than a working mom that fed her children bottle formula (sometimes I did ask myself why did you not stay in the working field)...I had an email in my box yesterday from a new viewer that sparked this post for me this morning... She said that I seem to have everything in order and that out of most of the blogs she has read I seem to be the perfect Proverbs 31 woman...OH HOW UN TRUE...I am no where near that but I am trying and that is why I pray everyday so that God can help me...Like everyone else I get mad, I nag, and I fuss sometimes but who doesn't, you just have to ask the Lord to forgive you and keep going... I have read so many blogs out here that makes one sick to the stomach saying that they are so perfect as mothers and wives (I am not talking about anyone particular blog) Well I am here to tell you it has it good days and its bad days but God is always in the mist of it all..I am so grateful for his mercy and love, because as a woman, wife and mother it can all seem so demanding, but I am glad to know that God forgives us for our short comes. Sometimes I am hasted about blogging about being a wife and mother because what makes me an expert, I am not an expert by a long shot... I just try to only tell people what I have experienced and that is all...But I just wanted to write this post so that old viewers and new viewers can get to know me and not what they think I am...I am a woman of God, a mother, a wife, a friend, and someone that likes to learn new things everyday, I can get ill, and even lazy sometimes....Lets continue to keep one another in Pray that we will always strive to be the best wive and mother we can be and that God continues to help us in our journey here on earth....

You are so right, no one is perfect. Bloggers tend to talk about their life, their interests, their motivations, etc. For many of us, that means we enjoy talking about motherhood and marriage and serving our Lord in our day to day life. Homekeeping is tied in with all of it.
It's nice to read what others have to say because we can often learn from each other, both from what we do right as well as our mistakes. But if we ever make the mistake of thinking we have "arrived" and don't have anything to learn we are setting ourselves up for a fall.
Thanks so much for your honesty! God bless!
So true. Thanks for this lovely post!
I'm glad you are blogging about this. You might say, "What do I have to say. I am no expert?" Well, Titus 2 doesn't ask the older women to be experts. It just says "Teach the younger women..." And as my friend at church says, "There is always someone younger who can learn from you."
Keep up the good work!
I found your site, and I was really blessed to read this today. I am a work outside the home Mommy, and I have had some real issues with "why cant I be like..." I'm coming to realize the same sentiments you were talking about. Thanks and have a great day!
Thank you for that!
Each family has its own personality and set of circumstances, and they have to find what works for them. Some of them have to work outside the home, others don't, but that doesn't make one mother better than another. Being a pastor's wife, I have had to work all kinds of jobs over the years to make ends meet, but we're a happy family, and isn't that what it's all about?
I enjoy your blog very much. Your sincere, non-judgmental attitude is so refreshing and encouraging, and I'm always happy to see a new post! I pray God will keep you and your family in His loving care.
DeNiece~ This post couldn't have come at a better time for me. Just the other day I was feeling like such a failure at being a home keeper(a future post on my blog about the emotions and feelings I went through) and the struggles I went through that day were almost too much for me but I did make it through and you know the saying "there is always tomorrow". I know you are not perfect but you are sure an inspiration for all of us out here in blogland. One of the reasons I really liked your blog is that you are true and genuine. I want to see peoples real lives not just the good parts but even their struggles, because sometimes you may think you are the only one struggling and it makes you feel so better to know that you are not alone. I try to keep my blog real!! My boring everyday life...not too exciting but it is the truth and you will find everything there..my triumphs and my failures.
I just love you and your blog:)
Blessings,Joann
Thank you for being so honest. I had to return to the work force and we decided that I would work nights so I could be home with the children during the day. I have felt like things just "get ahead" of me so often.
thank you for sharing
Awesome post!!! Thanks for bringing everyone back to reality... it is so easy to get caught up in someone's beautiful blog and think their life is so perfect. We are all human and we all suffer with the day to day issues called "life"... thanks for such an honest post.
Thanks for your honesty--sometimes when it sounds like everything is perfect all the time like on some blogs- it can almost be a little discouraging to those of us who are new on their faith and new to homeschooling etc. We think er must be doing something wrong--thanks for "keeping it real". I really enjoy your blog-you are inspiring!
Amen! You said it perfectly. We all struggle from time to time. No one is perfect. But we all pray and look to our heavenly father for guidance & strength to be the wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends God wants us to be.
DeNiece,
Thanks for your honesty. It sometimes seems like some bloggers have the "perfect" life, when in reality, none of us are perfect.
DeNeice, I recently posted something very similar, so obviously, I relate and understand! I have days when I seriously want to just SLEEP. Yesterday was my birthday, and I had a brief moment of frustration when I woke up to a sick child at 4am. I really wasnt planning on running to steam cleaner at that early hour (on my birthday no less) but now I suppose I have a story. :) It is so easy to let this world burden us...and I'm grateful for an honest blog like yours, so we dont feel so alone. :)
This is a wonderful post, DeNiece. Your honesty and humility are one of the things I love most about your blog. You are so genuine, never fake. I tell ya, I fail regularly, but I wouldn't give up motherhood and marriage for the world. It is certainly worth it and God is always there with us.
Thank you so much for this post DeNiece! What you say is so true. We all fall short but it is God's mercy and grace that pull us through. No one of us is perfect, all we can do is strive to live our lives as God commands. You are a wonderful woman of God!
Hi, I love the sincerity and truth you expressed. We as blogging mums tend to only show the pictures of the good times in the home. Many don't see the tantrums, conflicts or the bad temperaments.
It's all just hard work, and looking to Jesus everyday.

Excellent post. I am one of your single/ no children viewers that stand back with admiring eyes praying that I will become a wife and mother similar to yourself. This was a nice reminder that it's not an easy job and you are human not a robot that's on "happy" all the time. Thank you for sharing your family, your life and your honest feelings with us all.
Thanks so much for this post...as a newbie to all the above wife, mother and homemaker...I need to hear this sometimes.
Very inspiring blog!
You said it sister!! Thank you for your truthfulness and faithfulness. You are in my prayers!
It is true~that as wives and mom's we need to be praying and helping out oneanother. We are all a work in progress and Jesus loves us just the way we are~faults and all. God bless, Rose
Deniece,
Thank you so much for your post. I'm having one of those up to my neck in laundry, children not wanting to do school you name it kind of days. Thank you for the encouragement to go on with this day. I've regrouped, prayed and now I'm up for the challenge.
Thanks again and Thank you Lord.

Oh Yes, DeNiece, you were right on time with this post. I too, enjoy being a SAHM,wife, chauffeur, cook, nurse, etc. etc. etc., but sometimes it feels soooo overwhelming. But, like you said all you can do is pray for God to give you the strength to make it through. Thanks for your honesty. Peace & Blessings to you and your family.
Not sure if you read this blog, but this post is so good and I thought of your post when I read it.

God bless you for keeping it real. I also dislike those blogs that make everything seem so peachy. My blog is quite the opposite (lol). I enjoyed my visit!
I'm with you on this! Thanks for being so honest about this in your post! It helps us to remember that none of us are perfect homemakers!
